Canon is marketing its Canon A570 to family photographers, but actually the camera is attractive to a much broader range of photographers. The Canon A570 is a superior and feature-packed camera that has a well-rounded blend of capabilities. And these features aren”t just impressive; they”re actually useful.
The Canon A570 boasts an image an excellent image stabilizer in its compact frame. It also features the increasingly less common optical viewfinder. In addition, the Canon A570 accepts SD/MMC memory cards and comes with a 16MB card (a paltry amount of memory, but this of course can always be remedied with the purchase of a GB or more of memory, available at pretty reasonable rates these days). The camera also accepts SDHC cards, a nice option. The Canon A570 is powered by two AA batteries, and two of these also come with the camera. Battery-operated cameras are often a good option for those who forget to charge their cameras or may not have access to an outlet or the time to charge when the camera is needed.
The Canon A570 shines with an ISO up to 1600, at least for smaller prints. At a shooting capacity of thirty frames per second, the Canon A570”s continuous shooting mode may be considered slightly too slow for squirming children or athletic activities. However, others consider it impressively responsive, more than good enough for the majority of family photography events.
The Canon A570 IS, a particular model within the A570 variety, is also battery-powered and includes a VGA video mode with sound recorded in AVI format. It also features aperture and shutter priority modes, an equally high ISO and image stabilization, manual mode, and variable power flash, useful for using a fill flash. On top of all this, the camera has a comfortable grip, making it easy to hold and handle. This is important not only for comfort”s sake, but also for shooting – a comfortably held camera usually translates into a stable shooting platform. And if that”s not enough, the camera also boasts excellent optical image stabilization.
When compared to other cameras, the Canon A570 certainly stands out. Not only is it affordable and packed with features that are desired and extremely useful, but it also ranks high in other mechanical capabilities. For instance, it powers up quickly as well as shuts down fast, the autofocus shutter lag isn”t frustration and neither is its prefocus lag. Additionally, download speed, LCD size, shot-to-shot cycle time, and overall size and weight are also much more than satisfactory.
The Canon A570 is the least expensive to include optical image stabilization. With its impressive array of technical, mechanical, and user-friendly features, the Canon A570rises above the level of dependability, quality, and affordability we”ve come to expect from Canon.
